Piotr Lipowicz Trio
The idea behind Piotr Lipowicz Trio is described best using a quote ‘What most people want to hear is music that is very simple, but played extremely well’ (Michael Gibbs). A trio setting only felt natural to carry out this vision. It supports the clarity of his original compositions, at the same time enriching them with personal influences of all players.
“Familiar Feeling was written by Piotr Lipowicz — as people might know, since the guitar is very dominant in the composition — still there is no place for selfish/egoistic solos. It is tasty, elegant, and exotic, reminds me of Gàbor Szabó.”

DE KLIJN / LIPOWICZ
A guitar duo focusing on improvisation and interplay that explores the possibilities of how two electric guitars can sound together. The first concrete result of this exploration resulted in the EP Stereo Talk (2023). Both players have an eclectic musical background including jazz, rock, ambient/noise and pop projects. This musical history comes to fruition in a jazz duo that doesn’t shy away from opening up their sound with the use of effect pedals, writes playful compositions and makes excursions into different genres.

Quinteto del Diablo
Amsterdam based chamber based on the famous Astor Piazzolla’s Quinteto. It focuses on exploring tango outside of its clichés, offering the public an intimate insight in some of Astor Piazzolla’s lesser known pieces. On the other hand, Quinteto aims to expand the existing, very limited repertoire for that particular instrumentation, by collaborating with different composers — including its very own member, Joel Gester-Suárez, who spend his early years in Buenos Aires.
